Enjoyed a nice visit as always to Fred's today, enjoyed talking BBQ with Fred and his staff!
Ready to head on vacation, and my wife specifically said, "don't buy food" this morning. Well, I already planned to make the trip to Shillington.
To my surprise, I found jars of Tasty Licks SGP Secret Sauce! I'd already had the opportunity to sample it a while back, and I've already voiced my high opinion of it on the anticipation of production. This was the no-brainer of the day!
So.....on the way home I thought, "I should make something on the Egg with this sauce before we head to Jamaica".  Stopped by the store and grabbed some simple drumsticks. Baby Back’s were $6.59# at a MAJOR grocery chain here in PA....YES, you read that right. Drums it was!
Lightly rubbed with Signore Bernardo Savory Poultry (can't make chicken without it at this point, I'm hooked). 350 indirect 1:45m. Sauced in the last 10 minutes. Our house gave the sauce and the drums rave reviews! I cook my drums and thighs till crispy and fall of the bone. The addition of the new sauce took these over the top!
I like Blues Hog, but I now like this new one more. Moves to the top of my list for a sweet and tangy sauce.
Anxious to hear what others say once it's out there! Will be certain to do some racks with the sauce as soon as we return!

Looks great! I have wings, thighs and drums on right now at 275 over pecan smoke. It'll be a great between-the-nfl-games meal.

Killer color on those! Another sauce to go on the list.
Have a great trip Jason!Molly

Drums look great. Wish I had a good supplier in driving range. Ordering online just isn't the same as shopping in person.

Yeah, I realize I'm real lucky to have the store right up the road. As I always say, right here where we a Sloppy Joe.....BBQ. It can be dangerous though! Tough to walk away without spending some cash. I also picked up the BGE 3-level adjustable grid, some lump (Blue Bag), and rub. All on gift cards from Xmas, with some to spare!
My wife works TONS of hours from April-December, so our yearly getaway is always somewhere warm and near water.
Last year we did our first trip to Jamaica, and stayed in Negril. After having an incredible time we decided Jamaica was gonna be back-to-back.
So this year we're staying in Montego Bay. City life mon! Can't get enough good jerk chicken and fruit down there. In fact, there's all kinds of stuff I like about Jamaica! Thanks for all the well wishes! I will miss my Egg. -
Take yer camera Mon . . . would love to see some food porn from Jamaica mon :woohoo:aka marysvilleksegghead

Jason, I got a chance to try Signore Bernardo's Poultry Rub last week. I agree with your assessment.
