What to Do With My Gas Grill?

Now that I am a EGGer, what do I do with my old Gas Grill, that doesn't heat very well. Its an old Char Broil, made of Heavy Cast Iron, and very convenient to move since it is on wheels (much like the BGE nest. I'm one of these types that hate to trash anything that is salvagable. [p]Is it possible to take out the burner, enclose the old gas line hole with fire resistant material, and use it as a Char-coal Grill. Would that work? Would lump char-coal work in such a contraption. And what would I use it for being I have a BGE?[p]Or is this the time to grit your teeth and give it the old heave-ho?[p]Anthony Up North

Gut it and use it to store some of the BGE toys.

JJ,[p]I rolled my Sunbeam grill down to the curb. It was gone in no time and I have not thought about it ever again. [p]A second charcoal grill is a nice addition, if you cannot afford a second Egg. I have a 25-year old cast alumninum Char-Broil that is a nice backup.

Anthony Up North, About the only thing I use my Webber Gas for is to keep things warm while I finish with the Egg. And I store things under the webber, all of my Eggs toys, etc.

i saw an article in Family Handyman suggesting to use it for a saw table. I think I'll do that with my old one, still forlornly on my deck.[p]Mary
