Biggest Christmas Turkey ever!

Merry Christmas everyone. I'm so thankful to have found the Egghead forum and all my forum friends. This will be my third Christmas turkey since finding the "Egg". I'm cooking my largest ever on the BGE a fresh 24+ lbs'er. I did a trial fit of the bird yesterday and there are no problems. My setup is full load of lump to the top and the fire ring, apple wood for smoke mixed in then inverted plate setter with grill. I follow the Mad Max recipe to the Tee.

    I just put the "Sumo bird" on the our Large. I'll start basting in an hour.

    bird for Thanksgiving and it was great!..

    I see you are using a DigiQ.. I just received a CyberQ
    II from the wife for Christmas (along with a brisket
    and a butt, think she is wanting some BBQ?) and am
    looking forward to using it for the fist time this
    evening.

    At 2 1/2 hours into the cook i'm basting every half hour. Linda, in red bought the turkey and I agreed to cook it. We eat at 5PM.
