What about a parmesan garlic or a lemon pepper for those who can't stand the heat, and then do some hot ones?

Nothing wrong with just some standard bbq rub, and bbq sauce in the last few minutes of cooking. Add honey to the sauce, for sticky wings.
-
I'm also making wings for a Christmas Eve gathering we are having. I just go with a simple Dizzy Pig rub (Tsunami Spin or Jamaican Firewalk are favorites) and smoke with a little cherry wood for about an hour. Serve with sauce on the side. People rave about them!

How about Teriyaki, or a medly of Asian seasonings like soy, ginger, sesame oil or seeds, and garlic.

MMmmmm I'm leaning towards the lemon pepper and I like the adding honey to BBQ sauce

Mike,
i like them simple. A little EVOO, and your favorite rub. Can go either indirect or i like raised direct. Good luck. -
Mike if the guests like the Buffalo flavor all you have to do is add extra butter or margarine to your mixture and that will cut your heat. That is what they do in the back of the restaurant.

Mike_ I may be biased but it's hard to find wings any better than the 'Georgia Red Wings' posted in the recipe section. In fact, since it's Christmas Eve, you can retitle them "Rudolph the Red Knows Wings Dear" and spread a little Christmas cheer.

My wife can't do hot. When we have wings, i mix her a sauce of half maple syrup and half Heinz Chili Sauce. She and others love this taste.LBGE AR SMALL BGE WOO RING

I like to make them naked, with a 50/50 Bad Byrons butt rub & raw sugar

Here is one I like best...Mild and zesty.
Sprinkle wings generously with Janes Crazy Mixed Up Salt and Janes Crazy Mixed up Pepper. Refrigerate in ziplock bag overnight.
Cook wings direct at 325. I like mine cooked very well, about 30-40 min on a packed grill. Rotate wings as needed
Stir wing in sauce below. This recipe is for every 12 or so wings.
Melt and stir in saucepan:
1 tbs butter
1 tbs Red Hot hot sauce
1 tbs fresh lime juice
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tbs fresh choppe cilantro
