Another first time cook this weekend.
Chuck Roast with a few veggies and red potatoes.
For $1.97 a pound this was a great meal and a great lunch today at work.
Seared the roast in bacon fat and then into the CI pot for about 6 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
Added spuds the last 90 minutes and covered for 60 minutes after adding.
Super easy low maintenance cook.

Looks good....the perfect comfort food.
Just a little note for you. I found if I wrap the outside of my enamel pot in aluminium foil it keeps a lot of that soot off of it.....lots easier to clean up.
Love ya.Judy

Comfort food at it's best! Your photographs are great...I'm sure it was delicious.
-
I'm with you - everything on the egg is comforting! I was wondering if you would post photographs this week from the night skies - this is supposed to be a prime week!
-
That looks great!
In looking back through past cooks, this one struck me as one of my best comfort food cooks....
But Mac and Cheese, pot roasts, Meatloaf, and Oxtails are right up there.... ;-)
The Egg tends to add a whole new level to old favorites. Love that. -
VERY GOOD POINT!!! Even BETTER lookin vittles!

Hi Elizabeth
The city lights around here wash out a lot. I missed out on the meteor shower. I am looking forward to the total lunar eclipse on the 21st (I think). I hope it is a lot warmer and clear as a bell!
