Sure sorry to hear that Mickey, that sure is heart breaking.

A while back we had to put down our dog who was with us for about the same amount of time. That was a tough time for me and I never expected I how it would make me feel.

My Girlfriend and I compromised on a breed about two years ago. It was a puggle that we named Molly. That dog (regardless of the pain of puppy training) is the princess of the house and both me and my GF would not know what to do without having her their to greet us when we came home from work everyday. In exchange for some dried up kibble and some table scraps we get priceless entertainment and immeasurable love in return. I send my deepest condolences on your loss today of your friend that was part of the family (family pet doesn't do yur relationship with your dog any justice).

You have my sympathy. Losing a pet is tough. Three years ago, we had to put down one of our cats due to cancer. While you can never replace a pet, we welcomed a new fury friend 6 months later. We are now blessed with both the memories of our lost friend and the affection of the new member of our family.

Micky, I am so very, very sorry. We are loved and share our home with two dogs and one is 16.. every day I worry about her and hope we have one more day to enjoy. Not all of us are lucky to be owned by a wonderful 4 footed owner. hugs and know I am shedding some tears for you.

even after a couple months, i still hear my girl in the house and i still tell her good night when i go to bed... it does get easier, but there are always moments.

Mickey, such heart-breaking news. Our dogs are our children.

We are a big-dog family and have lost two of them this year, a St. Bernard and a Great Pyrenees. And our 13-1/2 years Landseer Newfoundland is very, very slow these days (usual life 9-10 years). And so it goes...with two Newfy pups to start the cycle again.

We lost our beagle Bailey 3+ years ago and I still miss her. You can take comfort in knowing that you were the light of her life and the love she gave you was unconditional. The photo you posted showed the joy in her face and eyes.
