Since Spring Chicken finally got the Plano movie posted I let Mike's sister, Suzanne, know that Mike was not forgotten. I thought you might like to see her response...every little bit of comfort helps, especially at this time of year.

Judy, thank you for sharing the video today! Mike would love it! Not a day goes by that I don't think about him, miss him, and wish things were different, but through all that, I find a lot of comfort in knowing that he had such nice, fun, and caring friends in his life that haven't forgotten him. Seeing your video and the fun loving people that Mike loved to be around makes me happy. I know he had some of his best times with all of you :)

  • Very nice, Judy. I had Mike as an instant messenger friend and when I log in every day it still shows him there and available. Sometimes I send him a message just to let him know I miss him.

Judy, Mike was one of the first friends I met here, he always showed interest & respect & was so much fun to have around at eggfests, call it coincidence but I always ended by his side with the rest of the gang. I miss him dearly & want to thank you for bringing his beautiful memory back to us

Thanks Judy. I kept looking around at the seating area next to the building to see him sitting in Plano. Thought many times of him.
    Thanks for the posting.

Thanks for posting that Judy, I finally took his phone numbers out of my cell so I wouldn't get the urge to call him. :( -RP

Judy - thanks. I've been looking through CWM related postings the last few days. It should be no secret that the final version of this year's EGGtoberfest Cookbook will be dedicated to Mike so I hope you will make sure his sister gets a copy when it is complete (this week sometime).

Thanks for posting that, Judy. Still think about him often. I can't get up enough gumption to remove his name from my contacts list! :(
  • Judy, thanks for sharing......just not the same without him. :(

I'd be more than happy to see that Suzanne gets it. That's a wonderful tribute.

I never had the opportunity to get to know Mike, but every time I turn around, someone is posting something like this. He sure gets a lot of respect around here! Says a lot about the man.

Must have been a helluva guy!!!

  • That was very nice of you Judy. Terrible loss for this group to be sure. Sometimes when I'm looking through old posts to answer a question, I'll see a reply from him. It's a wierd feeling, like he was still here.

Lady Hen every time I do the turbo ribs I remember him. Wish I had known him in person instead of from just the forum.

Thanks for sharing, I went to his rib class it was great. He was always giving me grief on how much food I cooked. He was the best. God Bless everyone.
