Chervil?

I subscribe to a local organic farm, meaning I pay a fee in early Spring and get a box of seasonal veggies every week from May through November. This week one of the ingredients is chervil.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with this? I'm planning on doing the Mad Max turkey this Thanksgiving and was wondering about using that as part of the herb mixture, both in the butter and in the bird's cavity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

John

Sure, that'll be fine. It is a mild member of the parsely family.

Can be used like parsley - that would be great in stuffing.

According to some organic gardeners, it can also be used to repel slugs. Maybe I will put some on my couch on Thanksgiving day before my brother comes over so he won't spend the day sacked out with no place for other folks to sit. Just a thought.

Good stuff. Mild, so don't worry about using too much.

I like it on poultry and pork tenderloin.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

I tried a bite and it was very mild. I wonder if the flavor mellows like mint when you cook it? I'll try it in the cavity and in the butter.
