anyone know a round about time frame for 16-18 pound bird cooking time? thanks in advance

Cooking guideline is 15 mins per pound. I'm egging a 17lb turkey so I'm counting on about 4.5 hours. Good luck!

I've read that if you're basting, it can take a *bit* longer.

I did a 13 lb bird last weekend... 2 hours at 375 dome temp. The egg cooks like a convection oven...fast! I believe one of the biggest comments was my turkey was done way to early. I would guess 3 hours max at 375.
