Those look good. Like the way you are cooking. How did you make them?
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

I would not think of doing crabcakes direct. Please let us know how they turned out :)
  • I like your Profile Pic. Its just a little dark.
  • Mickey,

Here is the recipe. normally I either fry them in a pan, or put them on my griddle. The grilled ones were amazing.

All of my friends agree that this is an absolutely GREAT recipe. My wife is a crab cake connoisseur and LOVES them. The secret to a good crab cake is lots of crab! I use the fresh claw meat from the seafood section at Publix (in a little clear plastic container with a top).

    Here is the recipe:

as far as the grilling, I just setup for direct cooking and turned once after a few minutes.

I like to serve them with a curry sauce. I mix mayonnaise and green curry paste together to taste.
  • Frank,

They turned out great!!! My only issue is that I had been drinking beer for a while, and went inside to sample some of the amazing Brie my friends brought and sort of forgot about the crabcakes for a minute.

The bottoms on about 3 of them got a little blackened. However, even the "blackened" ones were delicious.

If I had been sitting there the whole time they would have been perfect. They tasted fried without the excess oil.
