Pizza dough balls at GFS

Has anyone tried these? They have frozen Primo Italian pizza dough balls. $20 for 20. You thaw/let rise for 5 hours.

Good price, easy -- but how are they? Who has tried them?

  • I guess you get to be the guinea pig. I would give it a try unless it has weird ingredients in it. Let us know how they are and how you liked it.
    Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

    I wouldn't touch them in that case.

    Kidding aside, I'm sure they are fine and probably used by a number of mom & pop type restaurants. You could just as easily mix up your own and freeze them and save a couple bucks. I do it all the time.

    You can't make a decent pizza with bleached flour. I heard its carcinogenic too.
