First Disappointment

Aside from my beloved Chargers losing for the first time in 13 games vs the hated Raiders, I tried first attempt at CWM ribs with a few accoutrements...veggie skewers and abt's.

The ribs turned out great, as did the chicken breasts I threw on at the end. Unfortunately, I had a relatively unburned hickory chunk that caught flame when I brought temp up. Should've waited, but added veggies and got very acrid bueno!

Undercooked abt's as well. I have learned lessons today

Sorry no pix. I'll be back, and hopefully so will the Chargers!

The ONLY person that NEVER messes up/makes a mistake,is the one that don't do a dayum thing! You learned a lesson, that is always good.Be glad it was only ABT's and not a whole Prime Rib Roast!!! ;)

    Thats just a lesson learnt.

Next time they will taste even better for it.
  • Thanks Hoss. Mental notes on tonights lessons. CWM ribs were all they were made out to be and the chicken breasts were damn tasty too. Never thought a veggie skewer would derail the dinner.
  • remember. . ."if it was all would all be average!"

Ribs and chicken were good...who cares about the veggies!

ABT's take a while to crisp up- especially on the inside. I have done them twice, and both times I pulled them a little early and they had to go back on.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
