We hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend and is excited for more warm weather grilling! This week, we’ll be making these two burgers: Stuffed Portobello Mushroom and Caribbean Chicken, and also eating lots of these Ice Cream Sandwiches in honor of National Ice Cream Month! It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

Like I said before, next year I will probably Mad Max the hell out of a turkey. But this year it was quick and simple, as I wasn't even planning on doing the turkey until the night before Thanksgiving. I made an herb paste, which I tucked between the skin and the meat all around the turkey. I also spatchcocked the bird, which made this baby cook fast - only 2 hrs at 325 dome indirect to reach 165 in the breast.[p]turkey4.JPG[p]The results were great - even though I did not brine, the breast meat was still moist, juicy, and I loved the effect of the herb paste.
