injectting a turkey

Ok, I know that there is probably a book written on this some where
but what would one inject a turkey with or should one even bother?
I tried that garlikey cajun goo that they sell at Lowe's beside the turkey friers and it tasted like the processed stuff in a turkey tv dinner. I just thought that maybe there is something you can inject that actualy would taste good.
any hints would be appreciated

    I am thinkin butter and a little wine in the breast. Maybe some finely pureed roasted garlc in there. Maybe a little apple juice instead of the wine. Try it when it is on the cooker and warmed through.[p]Just an idear.

  • Glenn, I have been injectting with this recipe for a few years now and everybody loves the taste. I use Rosemary Garlic maranade from Cajan Injector, then melt some honey and butter and inject that. It comes out very juciy and has great flavor.
  • Glenn,[p]The advice you got about Cajun Injector Rosemary Garlic is good advice. It's my favorite of all their injectors.
