In the NTYimes article, they mention doing a beer-butt turkey with a Fosters beer can. Anyone ever try this?
Here's a link to my favorite, a bit of work but really good.
You can go the recipe section and look under poulty as there is another one that is a little less work.[p]Cheers,
Brants Brined Beer-But Bird
Beer butt turkeys are good (they're done just like BB Chicken), but you have to be careful that when placed vertically the top o' the birdie doesn't jam into the chimney, blocking the air flow.

Tony,[p]Never did a whole turkey but, I like to do just about a 7-9 lb. breast only.[p]CWM
Ha, the joke is on me. I didn't notice the "Turkey word" and jumped the gun on the chicken link. Sorry about that.
Damn, I din't even have a beer when I replied.[p]Cheers,
Never done one, but don't see why not. Ditto what Gretl said. Funny how the mind works, when I first saw your post I thought to myself: "Man, that'd better be one H-E-Double toothpicks beer can. You'd need a Foster's." Oh Aussie Hugh?[p]Kelly
