Skysaw - (Mark) dropped by with a surprise gift this morning.

For those that don't know, Tunnel BBQ is a restaurant in Windsor, Ontario across from Detroit. They specialize in BBQ Wings and Ribs and have their own line of spices/sauces. I've been meaning to try some but rarely get to Windsor.

Mark heard I was looking for some and surprised me with some of their famous Tunnel BBQ spice and sauce.

A special thank you to Mark for the great gift. I've heard that they are both great and I can't wait to try them.

  • That place looks good, especially the hot sauce they sell. I'm not too far from there so I think it's time for a road trip!!!

Michael - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I have tried a fair number of prepared rubs and sauces, and these are the first that have really grabbed me. I put the rub on everything from chicken to beef tenderloin to bloody caesars.

    Thanks Mark!

I know you've said in the past that you've had a hard time finding good prepared sauces/rubs preferring your own creations.

That's got to say something - "I'm looking forward to trying them".

Wow - you're about an hour away (+the border) from Windsor. Throw in a day at the Casino and it sounds like you've got a good road trip going.

I'm about 4 hours further east of Windsor. If you're ever headed towards Toronto, feel free to drop off some sauce at my place enroute. Ha! Ha!

Even better still pick up some on your way to Nieggara Eggfest next week!

  • Dude, I got a pile of that stuff. All you had to do was ask. Enjoy it just the same...good stuff!

I will be at Nieggara next week looking for samples from everyone. Now that you've offered a pile of stuff - I'll come knocking...

I'm so confused by my Scottish and Irish Heritage... One minute I want a bunch a freebees, the next minute I want to buy a round for the bar.

Let's talk about the freebees before we go to the bar - o.k.!

Skysaw dropped off TBQ rub and sauce at my house today too. Thank you Mark for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

My pleasure, Gary! They are easily my favourite sauce and spice - I hope you enjoy them.
