Just bought the CI grid last night. My wife made the mistake of not accompanying me into the hardware store to buy a bag of lump.
(BTW, I've noticed a trend of the egg stores that have stopped carrying BGE lump and replacing it with Royal Oak and Cowboy. Love the trend as its saving me $$$ and I don't notice any difference in the quality. I live in Chicago and I've seen two Egg stores near me doing this.)
Anyway . . . made a ribeye and the CI grid delivered. Awesome sear marks and flavor! My question is this, is there anything that the CI ruins and that you should use the normal grid instead?
