It has been a few months since I have had my egg and my wife is now wanting some ribs from me.
I am a barbeque novice and have never cooked ribs before on any type of grill. I would like suggestions for the easiest rib cook for a first timer. Like which type of ribs and which method. Looking forward to opinions!

go with Car Wash Mike's recipe, almost impossible to mess up.

Ditto on CWM method. I had never made ribs before this summer and now I am making 4 to 6 slabs every couple of weeks. The first time i made them was CWM's way. Recently I have been using Dr. BBQ's recipe, mostly because it is a quicker cook, but I do like the way they come out, using the turbinado sugar and honey.....yummy!

I consider myself a rib snob (almost never order them at resturaunt anymore). Pick a recipe Carwash Mikes is simple and good, try it a time or 2 then switch recipe's, then you will keep tweaking little things like the brand of sauce or the rub, until you find your own and then you have it. Problem is I have been doing it this way any damn the bad luck I am still trying to perfect it. The best part is ......you get to eat the ribs! :woohoo:

Alright this gives me a place to start! Too bad have to wait a few more days to give 'er a try! (man has to work )

I like the 3-2-0.5 method
Indirect at 250 with rib rack for 3 hours, then 2 in foil with your fav juice (to guarantee juiciness)
unwrap, remove the plate setter and cook direct for half an hour flipping ever 5 or so and slather with Cow Town BBQ sauce. Theyll be falling off the bone!
Baby backs is the only way!!! -
Check the "cooks" section of my website, it should give you enough ideas to decide which way you wanna try first..there is no wrong way..

Thanks guys!
My local dealer has monthly egg classes that my wife wants to attend with me now as well. If all goes well, and if I can produce some delicious food... then my eggcessory and meat budget shall increase...
