I keep a few spare plastic spice containers full of equal parts coarse black pepper (that I ground or is it grinded? ) and kosher salt.
I put a healthy dose of that on ALL sides and it turns out amazing everytime.
I also have spare containers full of equal parts kosher salt, coarse black pepper and garlic powder and finally coarse black pepper and garlic powder (goes great on fresh mozzarella balls coated in a good evoo -
Many times I just use salt and pepper, but I found an outstanding rub the last time I went down to Daytona. It's made by Cosmo Florida and they call it Bourbon Molasses Rub for Steak. Besides the obvious, it also has coffee in it. Delish!

A really good peice of grass fed beef only needs salt and pepper, maybe garlic powder. Cheap meat needs a little shake of everything in the cupboard.

Totally agree that s&p works fine for a great piece of beef, however I've been trying Tasty Lick's Redeye...and really like it!

I mix garlic powder and onion powder..Rub into the steak, then add fresh ground pepper and Sicilian sea salt. Salt provides a great sear..

For steak, Salt & P. Maybe a drizzle of olive oil and sometimes a light rub with a piece of garlic when it comes off the egg. The reason, I don't think you need to mask the flavor of a top notch steak.
For beef, I like Raising the Steaks. -
My favorite lately is "Cowlick Steak Rub" from Dizzy Pig.

I need to get my order in for some of that stuff. Seems like everyone likes it.
I use Obie Cue's Sunshine rub. It's good. -
