Was at the 'mothership' about a month ago and inquired about the BGE canopy. The salesman there told me they were getting a better quality canopy than what they had before, and it should be in any day. Has anyone seen the 'new' one? I think it is a different type of metal used for the frame and I don't know if the material is the same. For the 'eggheads' that currently have one, is it that much better than the Easy-Up brand, which is alot cheaper. I currently hate cooking in the rain on the deck. He also said it was in the $250 range. Thanks in advance.

We have both, much better than the Sam's club model. Heavier material, better construction.SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Visit www.bubbatim.com for BRISKET HELP

I have both an EZ-Up brand and a Caravan brand pop-up shelter.
The Caravan is 10x better, stronger, and easier to assemble and take down. If the new one is based on or made by the Caravan company then I would say it is a vast improvement.
But a10x10 Caravan in white can be purchased at least $100 less than what you stated. Is it worth a 60-70% price bump for it to advertise the BGE? -
I purchased the new model canopy at the Colorado Eggfest the first of the month. I have not had it out of the storage bag since, but the cool thing is that the storage bag has wheels! I did get it for a travel canopy for eggfests. The sidewalls have windows and no BGE logos. Their are no screws to place through grommets on the sides as in the old model. I did get one side panel with a full length zipper that I would guess is for a door opening.aka marysvilleksegghead

I bought one the beginning of August. To me it was worth it. Considering a new EZUP is almost $800 now..
-
DOLLARS???????
-
Yes Dollars....
The 250 I paid for the BGE Canopy was worth it and I was quite pleased at the quality.. -
Cool!

The professional models run from $350-$500 range. You are getting fleeced at $800.

If I wanted the cheap flimsy ones I would buy one. Scroll down to the Eclipse II. Which has a stronger frame. Something that is needed when you compete or cater. It's over $600.00 even on your sites.
The frame on the BGE Canopy I bought is rather hefty and comes with the sides. The sides are also something that is needed when catering. -
$499 unless you need a custom color

I just saved you $300 -
Actually you cost me more. I spent $250.00 on the BGE Canopy, you want me to spend $500.00
You can stop trying now.. I already checked out all those options. -
Heck no, the BGE canopy is a much better deal. Plus you get 3 sides to go with it. I love mine and was pleased to get it for $175
-
Happy for you.. They aren't that cheap anymore..
