So i bought a cheap one figuring they were all the same...this one actually turns of if the temp does not change within 20 minutes...so needless to say it turned off and I woke up to a butt that went too long...thanks for the help. what are the good brands?

Maverick 73 spoken of highly by many. $30-$40.
  • I was wondering what the main differences were.....I just bought an ET-7, it looks like it is pretty much the same as the ET-73. Is one newer/better than the other?

I like the ET-73. I first bought the ET-7 and that was a mistake IMO.

The et-7 has 2 probes but they are both set up for food not the grid.
  • I've had good luck with the ET-73.
