Grilled Veal Chops with \"Damm Hot\" Peppers!

Every once in a while, (if the price is right on Red and Green Bell Peppers)...I make up a batch of something Micheal Chiarello used to call "Damm Hot" Peppers.
Pretty simple recipe...but one of those condimento's that can be enjoyed a multitude of ways.
You fry Red & Green Bell Peppers in about 1/2 of a cup of good EVOO, (till they just begin to soften)and add 5 or 6 sliced Jalepeno or Serrano peppers
along with a large can of "good" Crushed Tomato Sauce. Simmer till softened, (but with some tooth left)!
They get better ever day...(till they're gone of course)!!
Add some saute'd Shrooms to the Veal Chops below...
...and you've got Dinner here on Lusterleaf, with minimal exposure to the elements!!

They turned out great, thanks! 3 pies, cruised around 550-600* the whole time. Ham, onion, mushrooms for the man...Margherita for me...and pepperoni and onion for additional leftovers. Thin crust, of course!

I change it up by adding red and green peppers...but otherwise this is the basic take.
It's great on garlic bread with a little cheese...or with eggs in the morning.
Nice on top of some grilled Lingusia/Sausages ect...
Or....LOL!!!

well, as long as i'm there to be one of the taste testers, then ...yeah, let the two of em go at it!! ..bundt pans at high noon!!
-
Evans,
That looks and sounds wonderful. A little curious about the heat of the sauce, what would you give it on a '10' scale?
Now to figure out how to get some chops like'at. -
Well...if you make it once...you'll have a baseline...'xepting that peppers can varry in heat!!
This batch was 4 red and 4 green bells...and 5 smallish jalepenos, (seeds in).
When you fry the peppers in Olive Oil...(if you put them in with the bells at first)...it ups the heat a bit as opposed to putting them in with the tomatoes and simmering them the last half hour or so.
It purfumes the oil you might say...lol!!
Made as i did this time...simmering them at the end...i'd give it a 5-6 or so!
Although Ann is enrolled in the ABT school of pepper appreciation...i try to kep things reasonably tame on her behalf!
I'd have to say most could easily tollerate this, while you can mod for your "buds" as desired!
