When it gets ripe will it turn green?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

That's pretty cool. Though cooking without a hinged top would be kind of a pain.
I'd really like to see some followups on how those pots hold up over time.

LOL, it does appear to be sitting on the table, with the lower half not very visible.
It actually looks pretty cool, and I image it wouldnt be that hard getting used to lift off the top as long as you have a safe, sturdy place to set it down.
It does seem like alot of work and a fair amount of expense when you could buy a used egg for not a whole lot more, and have the ability to cook high temp. -

What are the pots made out off? Wont they give off toxic vapors?

I've never heard of any problems using ceramic or terra cotta around food unless the glaze contains lead, and even then only if the glaze comes into contact with the food.The Naked Whiz
