Congratulations to the Dizzy Pig team. It was a privilege to spend three days hanging out with these great guys. You won't find a more dedicated team or a nicer group of people. Cooking in the Royal Invitational on Tursday/Friday and starting over again for the Open on Friday/Saturday is an immensely physical and emotional challenge. After a very respectable, but dissappointing, finish Friday, the team sucked it up and finished 18th in the Open. Here they are:[p][p]They tweaked their entries a bit for the Open. Here's a picture of their brisket:
[p]And the ribs:
[p]Thanks to the Canadian contingent, the guys who spent most of Thursday night tending the eggs were able to go back to the motel and get some much needed sleep. These two guys did the Friday night shift when the temperature dropped to 37°:
[p]Hopefully, the break-down reported earlier by Car Wash Mike has been remedied and that they are back on the road. It was also great to meet CWM, DrBBQ and all the rest of the eggers. And Mike, thanks again for the bag of Maple Leaf lump.[p]Paul

I just talked with Chris. He, Woodogs and Kenny are stuck somewhere outside of St. Louis, but got the trailor towed to a place where they can probably get it fixed tomorrow. Got the see the Arch, thought it was pretty cool. [p]Brett

The Virgninian,[p]Glad you and your dad are home safely. It was great hanging out with you. And congratulations again - one heck of job and a real team effort. Let's hope NB, WooDoggies and Kenny get back tomorrow. Do you know what happened to the trailor? Have you heard anything from the Ontario-bound fellas? Now that's a drive, eh?[p]Paul[p]
