I didn't know the man but my condolences to his family. I followed his rib method this past Mother's Day that made me a rock star and sincerely thought it was cool when he posted in my thread about how good they looked.
I couldn't miss this opportunity to smoke ribs in his honor - a great, great idea and kudos to everyone responsible for this nice online tribute. In one of the many posts about him, I read there was a young child around when he was cooking and he had the child 'paint' the sauce on and thought that was awesome, so I had my little buddy (and birthday boy) Sebi help me with the Blues Hog.
