My son has antibodies against Celiac disease found in his blood system. If he truly has Celiac disease this means gluten free diet. I know I can bake breads with different flours, but is there a gluten free pizza dough reciepe out there?

    I haven't made this:

(you can find a bunch of variations on the web)

It looks good enough to me that I have picked up some chickpea flour. Only a "kind of pizza," more like a cracker with pizza style toppings.

King Arthur Flour has a gluten free pizza mix and other baking mixes. I haven't tried any of them but plan to use the pizza mix the next time my mom comes to visit.

Diagnosing Celiac disease is a little tricky, but generally if you've got the antibodies, you've got the disease. Sorry. The kicker is that even if someone with the antibodies isn't showing symptoms, eating gluten is still doing damage to their digestive tract. I've been GF for over a year now and had it the other way around - I've got the symptoms, but don't test positive for the antibodies.

You can make your own GF pizza dough, but I find it to be real bear to work with.I've had the best luck with Udi's pre-made pizza crusts (https://udisglutenfree.com/products). You can buy them online of use their store locator to find out who sells them near you.

If you want to try to make crusts by hand, Pamela's GF Bread mix is good ( http://www.pamelasproducts.com), as is King Arther's.

Best of luck. Being GF is no fun, but I feel a ton better since I've made the change. Hope you son feels better too!
