My husband made us the Table using Naked Whiz's plan for my med BGE.He changed the deminsions to my request. 48"w x 29"d x 42"h with lower shelf much lower than recommended to allow for extra storage. He was awesome and went packed to lowes twice this evening for extra material we needed.
The table is too high and the lower shelf is too low. We have 5 cement pavers under the EGG and still will have to get another so the lid can fully open. We are tall and will enjoy that extra storage.
We used pressure treated lumber and I have questions about staining. I want the grain to show but want some color as well. Perhaps a red wood tone. Does anyone have advice?

Just an idea for the amount you need to 'lift' the Egg up off its shelf....How about making a small wood platform(same wood/finish as the table itself) to help raise it and then a paver on the platform. I've seen this on some of the ceramic/bbq websites.

    Anyway...just a thought to avoid a 'karate chop' stack o' pavers. :)
