I had (2) 10lb butts put on yesterday planning for at least a 20 hour cook. Started out holding a good 220 dome and went to 250 late in the night.
This morning both butts are done. Total cook time of 14 hours for one and 16 hours for the other.
I have them wrapped up in HDAF, in a cooler with towels. My problem is that the party is not until 6:00 pm. I need some good ideas and tips for when to pull and reheat the meat for that just off the grill moistness. Don't want the meat to get dried out. Thanks

Wrap in HDAF and put in cooler and pack with towels. They will last 4-6 hours easy and still be hot. I never use the 2 hours per pound rule, alway 1-1.5 hours because I can always raise the temperature the last hour or so to get them done.

I've been told that Dr. Pepper (regular blend) also adds a nice taste (haven't tried it yet).
