I spent some time this evening using my large BGE to cook up a variety of things for this weekend...

I started off by fire-roasting some eggplants for an eggplant appetizer my wife is making for a party this weekend. I cooked these direct at 450 dome, and turned them every 4 minutes to blacken the skin on all four sides.

Then I switched over to an indirect setup to cook a nectarine pie that my wife made. I cooked it at 400 degrees dome for about half an hour. I put the pizza stone in under it to warm the stone up for my next cook.

My helper got bored at this point and contemplated her toes.

After I took the pie out, I cooked a loaf of honey wheat bread on the pizza stone that I had been warming up. I also cooked that at 400 degrees for about half an hour.

Once the bread was done, I switched back to a direct setup and cooked up some fresh swordfish steaks for dinner that had been marinating in some sesame oil, cilantro, habaneros and fish sauce. I cooked them for 4 minutes per side at 550 degrees.

The swordfish steaks were plated and topped with a sauce containing vinegar, sugar, habaneros, chopped cilantro, and salt. This dish was fantastic.
