Got 2 medium size filets and No.12-16 count fresh shrimp ... anyone got any sure fire recipes to blend these 2 greats tastes together?[p]I was thinking of cooking filet and shrimp normal (i.e. salt and pepper) and making a herb butter to pour over the top of both. But what herbs??? Maybe a squeeze of lemon and some fresh chopped parsely?[p][p]

    Smoked Signals,
couldn't get the picture download for some reason, but here is what i do. .. [p]trex some thick sirloins, coated with olive oil, kosher salt and dizzy pig cow lick rub[p]when i put the steaks back in to dwell at 400 degrees, and with about 6 minutes to go, put some skewers of shrimp, brushed with olive oil and old bay and dizzy tsunami spin. . .turn the shrimp once. . .that way steak and shrimp are done at the same time. . .really good. . .[p]other thing i do is take a can of cubed pineapple, and skewer the pinapple cubes as well. . .reserve the juice, mix in a little soy sauce and some honey along with some more tsunami spin, and brush that on the shrimp while they are cooking along with the steaks. . .[p]btw, if you want to go the herb route you mentioned (which i think would be good too), i think i'd just go for some parsley or cilantro with the butter (along with some garlic). . .

    Smoked Signals,
Hows about making the butter the "connecting element", and changing up on the herbs. [p]I am thinkin lemon with dill (go easy it is strong) on the shrimp.....then lose the lemon for the steak, but do the parsley (or maybe some fresh oregano) in the butter for da beef.[p]Just thinkin here. Have fun!
