Cheap Oven Mits

I was doing a high temp burn off today. I wanted to flip my plate setter so I used an "ove-glove" inside a cheap oven mit. As soon as I put my hand on the plate setter the oven mit turnrd to liquid and melted on my PS. If I continue with my burn off will it get rid of the smell and toxins from the burnt nylon or should I buy a new plate setter. Any info would be great. Thanks!

    I wouldn't buy a new PS.

    First use a stiff paint scraper or stiff razor blade and clean what you can. Then you should be able to use a torch and burn off the mess.

    A few cooks and some heavy smoke wood will mask or eliminate the odor.
