    Interesting to read about corn for 5/$. We're in STL, MO and Wal Mart is selling it for about 50 cents per ear. Hopefully the price will drop when our local corn is available. Last year corn was in the 50 cent range well into the year. Stores said the corn was being diverted to ethanol production resulting in higher proces for the consumers.

    Good fresh sweet corn is just as good raw as it is cooked. You might have to dig the bugs out but it is wonderful.

    First of all - You haven't had GOOD Sweet Corn unless you have had it from the Midwest!!!! There is some in the grocery store now but it comes from the south, and i will tell you that it isnt even close!!!!!! :woohoo: I grew up on the farm, and there were meals where all we had was corn!! :cheer: :cheer: You all need the bi-colored corn. You all want to come up here in the end of july and the beginning of August and ENJOY!!! B)B)
