Someone will ask, so why not me? What are y'all cooking for Independence Day? I'm doing wings (mine and WooDoggies)on the large and baked beans on the new small. BTW, I promise to get over this new-egg glee soon![p]FatDog

    FatDog,
Well, starting the celebration tonight with escargot appetizors, then aged Angus New York strips plus lobster tails. Then in the morning Eggs Benedict plus champagne. In the evening my favorite of favorites will be a terrific london broil recipe also off Mr Egg. Then Sunday evening an 8# pork butt goes on for an overnight cook for pulled pork on Monday.

Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

  • FatDog,
What a great grillin' weekend! We did our first try at Trex NY strips last night. They were sooooooooooooo good. Today we are doing pizza. I have always done homemade dough in the oven so this will be an all new experience on the egg. Tomorrow, salmon, with a beer butt chicken to use later in the week when I am back to work and too tired to cook. I also made a brownie with marble topping of cream cheese and chocolate chips, noi on the egg, but it's a great treat and we are chocolate lovers around here. Have a great 4th everyone!

Meatloaf, cooking in a thunderstorm. I'm supposed to go to a party in Baltimore today and watch the fireworks from my friend's roof. I don't know about fireworks with this weather.[p]I rubbed the meatloaf with cowlick this time just to see if that would make a difference.
