Don't ya'll like my catchy subjects? Anyways, was going to do ribs on Saturday, but it is supposed to rain all day! As "cookn biker" pointed out, you can grill in the rain, which is fine with me, but do I need to do anything to cover the very top of the egg where the vent is?

Get a "rain hat" at your local hardware store.

The top vent openings are so small when holding 250, that I wouldn't bother, since I don't already have a rain cap. But if I had one, no reason not to use it.

Something similar to this will work.

really heavey downpours ive just balanced a fire brick over the daisy. ive also wrapped a foil tent on the daisy using the bail handle vertically on the daisy. i did buy a roof vent but have never used it, mostly seems to rain at camp and the cap is at homefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

I use a pop up temporary shelter. With all the rain we have had in Georgia lately it fairly much stays up all the time though. I will cook tomorrow under it. Mine cost $80 at ****'s Sporting Goods. They have cheper ones. Well worth it. I moved it and the Egg of course to the deck since this picture was taken.
