Does anyone take out their thermometer when going nuclear? I have been cooking pizza's a couple of times a month and like to run the egg HOT. I fill it up and let it run for an hour and can hit an estimated 900 (needle way past the 750 on the egg thermometer. So far my thermometer is OK but given that there is no need to know the temp, I was wondering if anyone did this?
