I'm going to try for the first time plank cooking some Red Snapper Filets. Looking for some suggestion as to which seasoned plank you'd recommend, seasoning, temp etc.
Fresh Fish is my favorite, but this is the frist time cooking it on the BGE. I usually blacken my fish, but I thought I'd try this....Thanks for any suggestions.
The "Reelaxation" is always ready to fish!!!

I've never done anything except salmon and always used cedar planks. I think that would do OK, but a milder wood like alder might be better for snapper. A little DP Ragin' River, some butter and lemon juice, and you should be good to go !

Also, I like to do my salmon indirect at 400-425, takes about 25-30 min, depending on thickness, pull at 135-140.
