Well we had a great turkey today - Mad Max Style using some pecan chips for smoke. I brined it for a couple of days first. Was really great... Shame on me that I didn't take a pic til it was on the table. Looks like thanksgiving - though we didn't have any pies..
Gonna have some good sandwiches this week though!!!

Thanks - no bone picking at my house... Though we'll have some good turkey stock from the carcass.

Thanks Patti,
I can tell you - It was good! Turkeys are so good, and pretty easy to cook.. -
I love turkey on the egg anytime. Looks great.

Hi Molly,
Unfortunately, Spring Break is over today. I was fortunate enough to get Thurs/Fri off doing some family stuff this week. Kids are back in school tomorrow and I'll be back to the grind - heading to LA this week, so no more egging til next weekend.. -
Jerry, you did a great job. The turkey looks so moist and succulent, yet the skin is crispy. Yummy!
-
Very nice, why do some people only cook turkey once a year. I try to about 4 times a year.
Nice bird.

Thanks Mike - I agree with you - turkey is a great cook and generally healthier than most (ok - if you hold off on some of the butter in the gravy). My wife is already saying we should have another when a good friend comes to visit next month.

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the compliment.
It was a really good one. A 14# nerver frozen turkey I got from our Publix grocery store down the street. -
