Recieved my Hot Dog Bun pan along with the Hamburger Bun pan from King Arthur yesterday. They are quality pans ! If anyone is thinking about purchasing them, you won't go wrong. Can't wait to try them out today.

I bought the same pan from KA. My results stunk, also. mkc from Denton is working on a recipe for these dog buns. I think she's getting pretty close to perfection.

What recipe did you folks use ? Was it the one on King Arthur's web site ? I thought I would try their recipe the first time. If any of you have a good recipe for these buns, E-mail it to me and I will try it. I bake a lot of bread so I am familier with using yeast. I buy grain berries of all kinds and grind my own flour.

Susan, was it the pan or the recipe? I've made good burger buns but using the same recipe, I couldn't get a good hot dog shape with them. Tasted good, just wasn't the ideal shape.

Mine tasted good also, just did not have the shape. Looks like mkc has got it
