I was shopping at Costco yesterday and noticed they had pulled pork at nearly 10 bucks for two lbs.

We eggheads certainly do better than that, sans our sunk cost of the egg, etc. which I believe is already recovered due to all the $40 steaks I'm not eating :woohoo: , and I know my pulled pork tastes better. :)

We saw that a couple weeks ago and Kim said "I wonder how it tastes?" I answered we'll never know. -RP

    Umm, PRIME, I assume?!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I rarely even go to Barbecue restaurants anymore. One the occasion I do want to dine out, I prefer something I am not proficient at making myself. That leaves tons of options but BBQ, Pizza, and Steak arent among them.

it gets bad over time, after looking at the menu i think why pay so much for somethig im not going to be happy with and end up buying something like a hamburger or the spagetti with meatballs. i can still go out for fried fish and clams etc, best to not cook that often at home  veal massala is another dish i wont cook at home with all the italian places here, need to be able to pick something off a menu ;)

Ditto on all the above. Albiet there is a Vietnamesse restaurant in Leesburg, Xuan Saigon, that's the best ever. Wouldn't even think about trying to egg/cook her menue.

My pulled pork is way better than anything pre packaged. I too don't eat anything at a BBQ restaraunt that I can make better. Unfortunately, I eat a lot of ribs, because they are still kicking my hind end when I try and make them. My neighbor gave me 4 pkgs of baby backs that I'm going to experiment on next. Sooner or later, I'll get em where I like em!

Keep at it with the ribs, took me 4 or 5 times to get the patience needed to let the lo-n-slo do its thing. Now my ribs are the best.

    Good luck!
