While some here have done seven course meals, we chose to do lowly burgers while playing with the vents, etc. Those came out quite overdone but were still very moist, which was a first for me.

I have a grill extender, I plan on cooking them up high at 300deg. till 165 internal. how long should they cook before flipping?
-
That's always a good choice.
-
take it up to 400 and you probably won't have to flip them.
-
Do them direct right? how long before they get done you think?
-
Less than but around an hour I would guess. I would take thighs up a little higher than 165, maybe 175. Unlike breasts the legs are a little nicer a little more cooked.

Did you get a thermopen? Always cook to temp. But if I had to guess on time I would think about 45 minutes for thighs. If you have a thermometer about 185. It doesn't have to be exact, the egg is very forgiving. Good luck and enjoy!
