I want to reseason a C/I fry pan(read Byron's link) I need to strip old seasoning first,I need do a clean burn of the egg, any tempature suggestions??? don't want to warp or crack the C/I, tia

500 will work for both..

ifit's rusty, the burn won't take care of the rust. you'll need to brush it.
and if you are gonna brush the whole thng, you can skip the burn, because brushing it will take care of everything
if it's just an old rancid seasoning you need to remove, then a burn is fine -
It's not rusty,was washing with warm water got phone call, brain phart dropped in dish washing side of sink, :pinch:
