Well - if you see me get off the forum early tonight - it's because my wife fell in love with me all over again. Yep - I created tonight - an artist if you will - something that made me shutter (and burp) after the first bite.
Today at my local meat market - I picked up a large boneless pork roast - trimmed off some of the fat - and stuffed it with some fresh mild sausage. Then grabbed some Sweet Maple Rub and went to town.
Set up the egg with the plate setter and a drip pan - of course used the tall GrateMates again to get the roast up in the dome some - and let her go at 425 for about an 45 minutes...then dropped down the heat to 350 for another hour and a half/b]
Man - it cut like warm butter - and when we tested some HulaBubba Georgia BBQ sauce on it...with the Maple Rub...Uhhhhh - well, I thought I was in heaven...Hey, there's Elvis!
Plated with my finest paper and the wifes cream corn, field peas with snaps, pickled okra, and whole wheat yeast rolls...then added some HulaBubba BBQ sauce...I'm telling you folks - Awesome!
When I looked over at my wife - she had sauce on her shirt, cheek, lips, fingers, and ear...don't ask. She then got up from the table - said she was going to take a bath and winked at me...like I said, I might be off the forum early tonight.
Yep - I think I hear her yelling Daddy - might have leave shortly but I should be back within 5-10 minutes

Darn Jimmy, I know I will regret saying this as it will only “EGG you on” but that is some good looking food.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Jim you dune good. Well well well look who's cooking now! Now who is going to teach him the rest. :woohoo:

Great pic's and fantastic looking meal. Nothing wrong with paper plates. Now I haven't stuffed anything yet. I guess I need to get to work. Good job. Tim -
Twice ----try 6 more times. After 6 of these blue pills - that 6 hour thing won't be a problem so I'll probably be checking in the emergency room about 2am if anyone wants to come visit...but I'd be careful. Good chance I'll be foaming at the mouth and looking for anything that moves by then.

One good stuff deserves another.
-
What's that blue light coming from the Egg?!
-
I figured it out folks...blue pills and a REAL beer. Must be the hops...my O'Douls never does this.
Hey - there goes the alarm again - "Dadddddddy...Daddddddy...get your sexy ass back in here Dadddddy"
Dang - I think I'm sweating...
LJ -
Seems many are easily amused.
-
Not a light...it's the rim of the aluminum drip pan. The flash from the camera must have put a shine on it. It does look blue though...Hmmmmm.
LJ -
Perfect! Now... gotta see if that works for me. (I leaned over the other night and she said "What? Is it October already?")
-
Funny Grand - Uhhhhhhhh, what happens in October?
LJ -
Like Eggtoberfest, it only comes around but once a year.
