I saw this today in the local Kansas City Craigslist. Damn this is tempting...I need it like I need a hole in my head. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/for/1535555089.html
also...here is a photo I took while drinking a martini in my living room...while snowing...while my egg was smoking butts.....man it was fun.

Kitarkus, at $350, I wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot pole.

Gimme 350, and I'll touch it with a ten foot pole!!
:-)

Chris, even with a repaired crack? May be I shouldn't have jumped to that quick conclusion because I don't know enough about black clay .

Someone once said "The best way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket." Fold that $350 and put it back in your pocket. Keep looking and you will find a REAL Big Green Egg at that price sometime. Unless you want to run a museum or someone wants to give it to you, I wouldn't acquire a clay Kamado. Hold out for at least a ceramic knockoff.

All I know...is 2 years ago at the American Royal I spoke with the guys from Primo and BGE. I had an old medium at the time...with the old band system and the different clay exterior. I was looking for parts as the topper and band system and different from the new ones. Both Primo and BGE suspected that I had an "old Kamado Kamado" as they referred to it. Additionally, both seemed to drool a bit at the possibility that I had one of these old eggs. Behold...I did not...but rather had an older model BGE medium. For what its worth.

That's one great deal. For that price... I would go for it!

Ya might want to re-read my post! It was simply an attempt at humor. hehe.
Cheers!

I didn't see that it was clay. That would be a NO WAY. Forget it.

Why would anyone pay $350 for a 20 year old clay egg that has been cracked? You can get a much newer egg of ceramic for that.

I take it you are joking but there is some interesting reading here.

Steve, I actually considered one of those tiled units before buying my first egg. Thank Goodness I didn't.

Holy SMOKES!!!!! :pinch: :(
I just deleted my post, as I remembered we're supposed to refrain from comparing products..
I sure feel extremely badly for those folks, after reading the posts on that link.
Why that company is stil in business I will never understand. -
Is there a difference between clay and ceramic? Isn't ceramic clay that is fired...like our eggs?

Cliff's brain is frozen. I would get a small for what he wants.
