Made some 1/3 lb burgers (rub'd with Dizzy Dust) tonight... cooked @ 300 Dome temp on raised grid for 15 min per side with some Jack Daniels smoking pellets...[p]About 15 min per side... best damn burgers I have made yet. About 5 min before pulling them gave them a coat of some GFW's BBQ sauce. let 'em rest for 5 min and them dug in![p]The extra time really allowed a much smokier taste.... great stuff. Oh and they stayed juicy even though cooked well done. Will use this method from now on.... [p]Brian[p]

    Nardi,
What about the slightly charred flavor you get after grilling at higher temps? I have done lower with burgers before as well, but only because I couldn't get the temp up!
    Definitely allows for smokier flavor.

  • coleslaw,[p]Yeah, not much char... I don't really like excessive char anyway... the smokier flavor was great. And I did still get grill marks just not real dark black ones. [p]
