Hi Everyone! Hope all is well.....
I'm starting to feel a little adventurous after seeing and trying Rod's Paella at the pre-eggfest party (was eggcellent!)....and really want to give this a shot!
I remember someone mentioning a place (possibly in Norcross) which sells some of the supplies for paella but can't remember for the life of me (some of that night is still a little foggy)
Does anyone happen to recall the name of that place??

There are some very good online sources, also. La Tienda has always been very fast with shipping and getting orders correct. Here's a link to my paella primer which has some links at the bottom:

It was probably Restaurant Depot. But I was there with Rod a couple weeks ago looking for one and they didn't have any. In fact the whole display they had for them previously was gone.
You might ping Dr. Suess, he has one that is slightly larger than Rods(I believe)and I think he may have bought it online..... -
Thanks guys. I'm almost certain it wasn't RD, as I've hard of them before. The other place was specifically for paella stuff.
So for a large...is the 13.5" about the biggest I should go with?

This is a Typhoon pan. It is 15 1/2" across and has handles that face up. If you google Typhoon Paella pan you'll get to it.

Thanks for the tip on the Typhoon....did you go with the non-stick or the carbon steel one?? -

Thanks again Steve....just want to make sure before I order one...the 15 and 1/2 that you posted a picture of....that was in a large BGE, correct?

Yes, it was on a large. I don't know if you can read the tape measure in this but that is a large.

I have a 16" that with trimmed handles fits and cooks very well on the large. I got my gear from Hotpaella.com, good shipping and good service and you can get everything you need. This is the greatest signature EVAR!

Is this the one you are talking about??

Any chance you have a pic of the "trimmed handles"?? Would it be easier to go with the 15 incher? -
Danny,
Dr Seuss' pan is the one Rod cooked on at his party...if you took any pics at the party you will see the cut handles
