kinda getting the hang of ZAs, best one yet. Egg 425ish with Pappa Murphy's thin crust in paper pan on single 16" stone high in the dome.
This time I decided to take my cues from the crust under the ZA and not from the crust along the outer edge. Crust not burnt and held its form well. Even had a nice smoke flavor.
From the comments here, I'm a believer on having a thin barrier between stone and crust.

Wow that's a thin crust, lookin' good!

That looks perfect and what a thin crust.
I've been doing mine on the top level of your rig, with pizza stone on top grid. My crusts are usually a bit thicker than that, so I've been cooking the crust for 2 minutes, then removing it, brushing a little oil, sauce, toppings, cheese, etc. Then at 500 degrees or thereabouts for about 8 minutes more.
Seems to work for me, but your photo is prettier than any I've done. Love the rig and sliding grates. -
I hope you'll get yourself a pizza screen and tell us if it gives a result like the paper plate between the pizza and the stone.

Oh my, that looks good. I was about to bet for your pizza do recipe for that thin crust. Shucks!!!
You do have a nice crust on that pizza though.

purdy simple set-up: adjustable rig with rig extender and 16-inch stone on the extender. I like it cause I can see what the lump is doing.
Need to be careful though, as the lump can flash. Had a cool flash last night. The flame rolled up behind the stone and hung in the dome for a split second. Had lump burning in firebox, void, black spot (stone) and flame. Guess ya had to be there to see and appreciate how cool......lol.

I use the rig extender, get's it up higher and closer to the dome for maybe reflective heating off dome. Glad you dig the guides. twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

my wife and daughter were out, so dinner by myself. Wife and daughter came home and promptly finished the couple pieces left over. Now I need to figure out how to do two zas, as we typically order two.www.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.
