The Dome Is Stuck Open

When shutting my dome the spring made a funny sound and then when closed it had an underbite and a gap all the way around. After opening and closing a few times it went back to normal, then after opening and closing again the problem came back. Now the dome is stuck open. I fiddled with the bolts and nuts on the hinge but got nowhere.
Any ideas how to fix this?

IF WD-40 and duct tape won't fix it, I won't be able to help you.
