Time to Experiment/Blackened Tilapia

Susie is working late this evening so I could do a lunch/dinner (linner) and decided to experiment. We have frozen tilapia so I thought I'd try that. Searching, I liked Misippi Egger's suggestion of Chef Paul Prudhomme's Blackened Redfish Seasoning. I also had two left over fresh ears of corn I needed to use up before I had to give them to the garbage man.
I must admit, I was rather enjoying the below 90* temps outside and kind of let my corn timing get out of hand, but the corn turned out okay.
Since I have never done fish, let alone blackened fish on the egg, or even indoors, I didn't know what I was doing and only had a clue because of the forum. Not bad but don't even think of salting your fish before trying. The Chef's seasoning is salty enough for even me and that goes a long way.
Corn on the small for too long. It was supposed to be about 40 minutes. Perhaps 10 minutes too long.
About ready for the fish
This was on the large
Every thing off the grill.
This side of the corn looked much better
All in all, a successful Eggsperiment :cheer:

Looks like you did OK for the first time. I sure it tasted as good as it looks.

Eddie, it really was good and a worth while experiment. I was pleased. Popcorn for dinner I guess.

Looks good to me!

Thank you Hoss. That means a lot.

Looks good.
I like using Dizzy Pig swamp Venom. I don't get as much "black" on mine but still taste blackened. I also use butter in my CI pan.

Kokeman,
I read your post and looked at your pictures and was very impressed. I had the Swamp Venum out on the counter and the only reason I didn't use it was I wanted to try the blackened routine. Now, I know I can use both, but I think the Prudhomme's will be entirely too salty for Susie. If she is eating, it will probably be the DP. Thanks for the ideas. -
Go with a lighter coatin and add a little lemon juice and butter to da pan.SV is also eggcellent.
