Today I did a little cooking on my old style BGE...

http://sites.google.com/site/woogeroo/wsp/08022009smoking

I took a few 'action shots' of the chicken smoking...

6 or 7 ground beef burgers and then I did some marinated chicken breasts... threw in some oak and pecan branches for extra thick smoking action... the pecan also gives it that nice color, plus a interesting taste.

Hmmmmmm. Goood eatin'.

Enjoy.

Uhm... late 1980's or early 1990's..?

    pre-internet for us little people.

I don't know that it is clay, but it has that red clay look to it or it did... it is made of something different than the current ones with the fancy high heat ceramic.
