I thought I would provide my wife with breakfast delivered in bed today, and rather than running the risk of waking her up I thought I would cook it on my XL.
I used one of my ( every man should have one, just like a pocket knife ) cast iron pans.
I have had the same ones for 30 years, as well as dutch ovens.
It turned out great, and I now have some brownie points banked.
The light went on while I was pouring out the bacon grease.
Hey. I can re-season my pan, just leave it in the BGE for shut down.
For those that are not familiar with cast iron, well no cookware can cook food like a well seasoned cast iron pan, nothing.
But the pans need to be re-seasoned once in a while, and now I can do it every time I cook on the egg.
PS If you ever find a real old one at a garage sale for $2.00 grab it and run.
